ECO-JOINT

Description

This remedy is used in the treatment of animals with chronic joint problems associated with degenerative disease. It is indicated for chronic arthritis and osteoarthritis, osseous(bone) chips, lameness, chronic pain, joint and tendon strains as well as spavin (growth in the hock joint), synovitis (inflammation of the synovial membrane) and hock strains. Furthermore, ECO-ARTH is used to treat periosteum (membrane that covers the outer surface of all bones), exostosis (ringbone), pedal osteitis (inflammation of the distal phalanx), shin splints and periodontitis (gum infection).

In conjunction with ECO-LAME, ECO-ARTH is used as a treatment for chronic and acute racing and exercise pain.

Dosage & Administration Information:

Frequency of dose:

In acute or recent conditions:

Give the recommended dose every 30 minutes for 4 doses. Then give a dose every 3 hours for 3 doses. Thereafter reduce the frequency to 3 times daily until  symptoms are under control.

For chronic problems:

Give the recommended dose twice daily.

Give the prescribed dose of the medicine at least 10 minutes away from food or other remedies or supplements.  If you are using more than one Eco-Vet medicine at a time, please give the medicines 10 minutes apart for maximum efficacy.

Preparation of Medicine and Directions for Administration:

ECO-JOINT is prepared in 20% ethanol and should therefore be diluted before giving it to your animal.

While water is the best medium for administration, if your pet does not tolerate the water, you can substitute milk. As a last resort, you can give it on a little treat, but this may delay or impact the efficacy of the medicine.

When you are able to administer the medicine directly into your pet’s mouth, dilute the medicine in clean water and allow it to stand for a few minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate. You can then administer the recommended dose of the diluted medicine directly into the mouth using a clean dry plastic spoon or syringe.

Alternatively you can add the recommended dose of the medicine to the animal’s drinking water, stir with a plastic spoon and leave to stand for a few minutes to allow any alcohol to evaporate before giving it to your pet. Be sure to make up fresh drinking water at least once a day or whenever the water is soiled or dirty.

Dilution Table and Recommended Doses:

20 drops = ± 1 ml

Species:	Directions for Use:
FISH (ornamental)	Add 1 drop of ECO-JOINT per 20 litres of water in the tank.
SMALL BIRDS (parrots, racing pigeons)	Add 1 drop of ECO-JOINT per 20 ml drinking water. A few drops of the drinking water can be administered directly into the mouth.
MEDIUM BIRDS (chickens, geese, ducks)	Add 2 drops of ECO-JOINT per 20 ml drinking water. A few drops of the drinking water can be administered directly into the mouth.
LARGE BIRDS (ostriches)	Add 4 drops of ECO-JOINT per 20 ml drinking water. A few drops of the drinking water can be administered directly into the mouth.
KITTENS, PUPPIES & SMALL MAMMALS (hamsters, rabbits, mice, etc.)	Add 5 drops of ECO-JOINT to 5 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer 0,25 ml of the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. Alternatively, add 10 drops of ECO-JOINT per 100 ml drinking water.
CATS & SMALL DOGS ( < 8 kg)	Add 10 drops of ECO-JOINT to 5 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer 0,5 – 1,0 ml of the diluted mixture directly into the mouth. Alternatively, add 10 drops of ECO-JOINT per 100 ml drinking water.
MEDIUM DOGS (8- 15 kg)	Add 10 drops of ECO-JOINT to 2 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth.
LARGE DOGS ( > 15 kg)	Add 20 drops of ECO-JOINT to 2 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth.
FOALS, PONIES, LAMBS & KIDS	Add 60 drops (3 ml) of ECO-JOINT to 3 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth.
HORSES	Add 100 drops (5 ml) of ECO-JOINT to 5 ml clean water and leave to stand for a few minutes. Administer the diluted mixture directly into the mouth.

Precautions / Things to Know Before Using This Medicine:

Please consult your veterinarian if symptoms are severe or persist for longer than three days without improvement.

There are no known side effects. If your pet’s condition starts to deteriorate, please consult your veterinarian.

Giving an overdose or too much medicine is unlikely with a homeopathic medicine because it contains such minute doses of material substance. The only problem is if  the medicine is not diluted correctly and the animal consumes too much alcohol, in which case you should consult your veterinarian.

ECO-JOINT contains no substances that cause problems with drug testing during performance competitions.

200 ml in a round amber glass bottle with screw-on cap.

Storage:

Store at or below 25⁰C protected from direct sunlight.
